Intermediate Wheel Throwing

4 Tuesday Evenings May 5-26th, 2026
6:00-8:00pm

May 5th, 12th, 19th, and 26th

Age: Adults, and Youth 15 & over      

Level of Instruction: Advanced Beginner to Intermediate

What this class entails:

• Prerequisite:  You must have already completed our Intro to Wheel class.
• Continue refining wheel-throwing skills, focusing on cylinders and learning to shape them into bowls, vases, mugs, etc.
• Explore adding elements such as handles, spouts, or decorative attachments.  Experiment with surface design techniques, including carving, stamping, and underglaze transfers.
• Develop an intentional approach to selecting and refining pieces – (learning to edit work rather than keeping everything).
• Gain confidence in decision making, refining forms, and finishing pieces with purpose.

We are closed to the public at this time of day, so you will be able to completely focus on learning this fun medium.  All final completed projects will be ready for pickup no later than the 3rd week of May (Hillary will give you a more accurate date at the last class).

Fee: $160

Clay: included with cost of class

Tools: Borrow ours or bring your own.
