This is a 5 session dive into the basics of wheel throwing. You will learn throwing, trimming, and glazing.
Learn about the fundamental concepts of pottery from professional ceramicist Hillary. In this class, you will learn how to throw the basic cylinder which leads to mugs and bowls. You’ll be introduced to clay tools, the differences between high and low fire clays, and learn about glazing fundamentals. You will make multiple pieces throughout the 4 sessions, that will be fired twice – before and after glazing.
We are closed to the public at this time of day, so you will be able to completely focus on learning this fun medium. All final completed projects will be ready for pickup no later than the 3rd week of April (Hillary will give you a more accurate date at the last class).
