Storytime: A Fox Found a Box by: Ged Adamson

Friday, June 28 9am

Age: Age:  All are welcome (story is geared toward 8 and under)

Artistic Level:  Any

Registration Fee: $12 per child

Special Guest: Rachel from WLOH Radio

A little fox is digging for food when–OUCH! What is that?–the fox finds a box! When the fox brings the box home to his animal friends–and turns a funny-looking knob–the box starts to sing, and music fills the forest. Everyone agrees that it feels nice. Day and night, they listen to the box’s songs, until, one day, it goes quiet. No matter what they try, they just can’t get the box to sing again. The animals stop swishing their tails and flapping their wings…. But, in the silence, the fox hears the drip-drop rhythm of melting icicles and the thump thump of a beaver’s tail and comes to realize music is everywhere. The noises of the forest and the animals build into a symphony, until, eventually, everyone joins together in a joyous dance party.

As a special activity – Rachel is going to record a commercial for us while AT STORYTIME, with any children who would like to participate!

After story time, each registrant will get a ceramic box to paint.  Child will work independently or with adult guest, to complete their ceramic project, and may take as long as they need.

We kindly ask that any siblings are also in a registered spot.

Once you register for one of our events, we order supplies and schedule staff.  Due to administrative product costs involved with cancellations, we do not offer refunds.  If you register, and later find out you cannot attend, we will put together a Mini PoGo Kit for your child.  Please email our GM at mnniceswanger@fairfielddd.com, to make that request.  Thank you for your understanding.
