This is an instructional atmosphere in which our staff artist will provide verbal and written step-by-step guidance. You will also learn general practices when working with stoneware pottery and high fire glazes, and creating glaze combos.

Included with registration:

  • Instruction from our staff artist on a new technique that you can use over and over on future visits
  • A $10 credit toward your ceramic piece purchase at the event

Adults over 21 are permitted to bring alcoholic beverages.
Projects estimated to be ready for pickup by Saturday, September 19th (Ash will confirm this date at the event) .

High Fire vs Low Fire:  One of the main differences between low fire and high fire ceramics is the type of clay used.  Low fire ceramics are fired at a lower temperature range (1650°F to 2000°F), using earthenware clay, and tend to have a more delicate texture and porous surface.  While high fire ceramics are fired at higher temperatures (2200°F to 2400°F), using stoneware or porcelain clay, which are more durable and water-resistant.  Because of the product materials and process making and firing, Stoneware items are priced 20-30% higher than our standard low fire bisqueware.

DISCLAIMER:  Due to administrative costs, we do not issue refunds on class registrations.  If you register and then cannot attend, you are welcome to send someone else in your place.  Just shoot us an email to let us know for check-in.
